LGBT people & the law
Across the world lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people are criminalised for who they are and who they love.
The Human Dignity Trust has been defending the human rights of LGBT people for over a decade. In 2021, we looked back at our key achievements in our 10th anniversary film.
Hear from our founder, Tim Otty KC, our Chief Executive Téa Braun and LGBT activists for more on our origin story and why changing discriminatory and outdated colonial laws really does change lives.
Across the world lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people are criminalised for who they are and who they love.
Marking our 10-year anniversary
In 63 countries there are still laws criminalising LGBT people which fuel stigma, legitimise prejudice and encourage violence. The Human Dignity Trust exists to change this. Your donation will help us support activists around the world to bravely challenge these discriminatory laws. Together, we can bring forward the day when no one is criminalised because of who they are or who they love.
