Prior to joining Human Dignity Trust, James worked for the UK Government’s Cabinet Office, including an extensive time delivering media work in the Press Team for the 2021 United Nations Climate Conference. Before this, he spent almost nine years in the UN system, beginning at the UN Secretariat in New York before transitioning to communication roles in both South Sudan and Mozambique for UNICEF, and to WHO during the outbreak of the 2020 COVID pandemic. During this time, he worked with visiting international media on in-country humanitarian emergencies, developed donor relations work and chaired cross-agency communication groups. Much of this work has featured a furtherance of women’s and child’s rights.
